I am currently a research scientist at FeatureX working on machine learning and deep learning for semantic analysis of satellite images. Being part of the FeatureX team, we are on the quest accessorizing advanced machine learning systems to the public, and transforming the remote sensing industry as a whole.

Prior to joining FeatureX, I was a research assistant at MIT Media Lab, and before that, at National Taiwan University. I worked with Professor Deb Roy and Shou-De Lin, respectively. As a research assistant, the research projects revolved around building machine learning systems that help us better understand the network society that we live in. I have worked on social media analytics, recommendation systems, and sentiment analysis.

I am intensely interested in making artificial neural nets sense and reason what they see just as a human would. Many of my current work / side projects revolve around learning generalizable vision.
